Frequently asked

Is my AAC file uploaded anywhere? +

No. Everything runs in your browser with WebCodecs and an in-browser MP3 encoder. The audio stays on your device, and you'll never get a watermark.

Which AAC files are supported? +

Standalone .aac files use the ADTS container, and the tool reads those directly. The AAC audio is decoded and re-encoded as a standard MP3.

Does converting AAC to MP3 reduce quality? +

Both AAC and MP3 are lossy, so re-encoding costs you a little quality. In practice you won't hear it. The MP3 is written at a high bitrate to stay close to the original.
